Repainting your front door is one of the easiest ways to enhance your curb appeal and give your home a distinct personality that sets it apart from the neighbors. We asked experts to give us their best predictions for front door colors that will be popular in 2026.
Warm Greens

“We’re seeing a growing preference for warm greens, appreciated for their restorative qualities,” says Hannah Yeo, senior manager, color marketing at Benjamin Moore.
She suggests Nicolson Green CW-500 as a versatile front door paint color that works with a range of architectural styles, from Craftsman to contemporary.
“Timeless yet refreshing, this earthy green exudes a natural freshness,” she says, “while its grounded undertones add a touch of sophistication and elegance that effortlessly bridges outdoor and interior spaces.”
Warm Eucalyptus

“We’re seeing a shift toward cozy, grounded colors that feel calming but still have personality,” says Sarah Goldstein, a licensed realtor and designer at Teela Bennett Design. “Warm eucalyptus brings an earthy softness that looks beautiful on Craftsman or farmhouse-style homes, especially with wood or shaker-style doors.”
Goldstein suggests pairing front door paint in a shade such as Warm Eucalyptus 8004-28F, Valspar’s 2026 color of the year, with warm brass or bronze hardware for a cozy, welcoming look.
Smoky Jade

“Smoky jade is elegant without feeling too formal,” Goldstein says. “It works really well on more modern or transitional homes.” The designer suggests pairing a paint color like Hidden Gem N430-6A by Behr with matte black hardware.
Moody Teal

“Teal has just enough boldness to catch the eye while still working beautifully with natural materials,” Goldstein says, recommending a front door color like Riverway SW 6222 by Sherwin-Williams for cottages, coastal homes, or a home with a classic brick facade.
Teal is versatile enough to work with almost any hardware finish, she notes, but adding a copper detail “can make it feel fresh and unique.”
Bright Yellow

Green isn’t the only nature-inspired front door color that will be popular in 2026.
“A bright, sunshine yellow brings an instant burst of joy to an otherwise neutral home,” Yeo says. “Yellow is an inherently optimistic color, perfectly in tune with the playful and fun design trends we’re seeing today.”
She suggests Sunny Days 172 by Benjamin Moore for a warm and welcoming feel that complements both light and dark exterior color palettes.
Classic Navy

Navy blue a classic hue that never goes out of style. “A navy front door reflects a homeowner’s desire for timelessness and enduring appeal,” Yeo says.
Hale Navy HC-154 by Benjamin Moore is a versatile choice that pairs well with natural materials like wood, stone, and brick, she suggests. “In direct sunlight, its blue undertones become more vivid. By evening, it transforms into a moody, mysterious shade.”
